Pyrotechnic Disposal

TIME EXPIRED PYROTECHNICS DISPOSAL

Time Expired Pyrotechnics (TEPs), also referred to as Miscellaneous Pyrotechnics (MPs) are distress flares that are no longer required.

The disposal of marine pyrotechnics or lifesaving flares continues to present issues for boat owners and marinas across the UK. The Ramora UK TEP system provides a range of solutions to this problem, including patented storage options, which offer safe storage alongside compliant removal and disposal of TEPs from any UK location.

If you are a marina looking for a legal storage solution or a boat owner looking to have flares destroyed then why not contact our sales team to discuss your requirements.

Ramora UK have worked alongside the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) and new Government legislation to create a solution for the legal storage, transportation and disposal of expired pyrotechnics. Our unique and patented stores mitigate the hazard of expired pyrotechnics, resulting in items from Hazard Division 1.4, 1.3 and 1.2 being able to be stored collectively at 1.4. By storing TEPs at a lower Hazard Division, it negates necessary site licensing requirements such as separation distances, which often makes storage challenging if not impossible on most sites.

If you would like further information on our TEP solution, please do not hesitate to contact our commercial department on the details below.
